HOMING PIGEONS

Petone Club’s Race From Opua The Petone Homing Pigeon Club flew a race on Saturday from Opua. an airline distance of 412 miles. The birds were liberated by the stationmaster in a southerly wind. There was a strong southerly wind at the home end, consequently the birds did not put up fast times. Following are the first eight place's: — J. Mexted’s Lady Pam, 723.06, 3; Smith and Son’s Lady Like, 719.19, 4; J, Bolton's Sun Spray, 715.92, 5; Bohl mid Son's Radiant Star, 694.68, 6. JBolton’s Sun Crack, 649.16, 7; Bold and Son’s Blazuway, 645.66, 8. The last race for the old birds will be flown from Three Kings on January 26.
