WEEK-END YACHTING
Port Nicholson and Evans Bay RESULTS OF RACES A fairly strung southerly wind and an, absence of big seas made line sailing conditions for large craft and small alike on Saturday afternoon. There were a few squalls to be found, but, although they added zest to the yachting, they were not boisterous enough to capsize any boats. Races were held by both the Port Nicholson and Evans Bay clubs, the following being the results, with handicaps and finishing and corrected times:— PORT NICHOLSON First-class Keeler Handicap. BLYTH CUP CREWS Race at Heretaunga The Heretaunga Boating Club conducted a race on Saturday for Bly th Cup, in which the boats are sailed by a member of the crew. The course was from the clubhouse buoy to a point opposite Cuba Street and back, through the Somes Island gap. back to the clubhouse, to Cuba Street, finishing at the clubhouse. The wind was a medium south-easterly. The result of the third Gjersen Cup. sailed yesterday, will not be known until during the week, as a protest has been lodged. The Heretaunga crew to sail the Wellington representative. Wainui, in the New Zealand Z class championships will leave to-day for Lyttelton.
