Fine at Wellington Yesterday On Saturday a fresh south-easterly wind blew at. AVellington all day. Several very light showers fell in the morning, but for the most part the weather was line ami during tbe afternoon, bright and sunny. The maximum temperature recorded at the Kelburn observatory was 66.0 degrees and the minimum 55.3. There were a few very light showers on Saturday night, and from early yesterday morning it was dull until'about 9 a.m. Thereafter it was sunny with a light south-easterly breeze. Rain threatened at Mastertoil on Saturday morning and in the early afternoon, but about 3 p.m. the sun shone through the clouds and conditions were quite pleasant. Yesterday the sky was lightly overcast, but there was no prospect of rain, the temperatures being pleasantly mild. Fine weather prevailed at Palmerston North during the week-end. The sky was covered with clouds, and in consequence the sun was not felt as strong as earlier in the week. A noticeable wind blew intermittently from the north-east. Tbe weather was line and warm, but rather windy, at AVauganui over the week-end. The maximum temperature ou Saturday was 74 degrees, and the minimum 52 degrees. Yesterday the wind was from the south-east. Ideal summer weather again prevailed at Auckland during the weekend. a light breeze being from the south on Saturday and from the north yesterday. The barometer rose to 30.10111. . The weather was fine and sunny atChristchurch over the week-end. A fresh southerly blew on Saturday ami an easterly yesterday. The barometer was above normal and fairly steady. The weather wft's cloudy but fine at Dunedin on Saturday, and a light south-west wind prevailed. The maximum temperature was 60 degrees. A'esterday was bright and sunny, tbe heat, being tempered by a strong northeast breeze. The barometer bad a fallinn tendviicy. the reading at 5 p.in. being 30.10 ii?.
