“Cow Licks” Not Liked

.Sir, —Living in the country I always take advantage of a visit to Wellington to get a haircut. On occasions, when finding all the chairs in my usual saloon occupied, I have tried other places, with the result that on my return home I am greeted with, “Why, you never got your hair cut!” Also, why, because the young male favours a "cow lick,” should I, an elderly man, also be left with the same ornament, which does not suit iny style of. beauty? As regards the price of one shilling and threepence for hair-cut-ting as against the price for shearing a sheep, one must remember that a shearer only shears. He has no shop to keep up all the year round or helpers to pay.— I am, etc., BE FAIR. Waikanae.
