WORK FOR THE WEEK
The Flower Garden
Replace spent annuals with sturdy zinnia seedlings' for a bright autumn display. Go over carnations and sweet peas at frequent intervals, removing all spent blooms. The flowering season can thus be prolonged. Plant annual phlox, giant tree marigolds and cosmea. Dahlias arc now blooming and care should be taken to ensure a liberal supply of moisture. This can be best done by placing a cool mulch around each plant. .
