At the Moorefield races, postponed from Saturday, the following was the result of the MOOREFIELD GOLD CUP. One mile. Chiming Wrack’s placed performances this season are: Third, Oamaru, October, 1) miles, time 3.29 1-5; second, New Brighton, December) 1) miles, 3.30 1-5; third, Addington. January, li miles, time 3.26. Harvest Dillon has been twice third this season. Mataunga has two wins, three seconds, and a third to his credit. Her last three placed performances arc as under: First, greymouth, October. 1) miles, time 3.32 4-5: second, Auckland, December. 1) miles, time 3.27 2-5; third. Auckland, December, 1-i miles, time 3.25.

Improving Pacers. AU Worthy has not raced this season. Last year he won twice and was also second on two occasions; showing distinct promise. His last placed performance was registered at Wellington in May, when he ran second to Compass and going 3.27 1-5. on what was anything but a fast track. First Aid has. not started this season. His record last season was four starts for a win and a second. His winning effort was registered at Marlborough . : n April, where he defeated Greatfast by half a length over a mile run in 2.18 4-5. Full Hand has raced fairly consistently for a win, three seconds and two thirds. His lust three placed performances were: Third, Greymouth, October, 1) miles. Time, 2.52. First, New Brighton, December, 1J miles. Time, 3.24 1-5. Third, Addington, January. Time, 3.22 4-u. Graham Direct has won one race and been twice placed. In his last start ho won the Champion Stakes at Ashburton from Gamble and Grace McElwyn, registering 3.19 3-5 for 1) miles.

Bonnie Direct was third to Silver Watch and Lady Amanda at Te Arolia; won the Bc.y, Handicap at Carterton and the same day was third to Flintlock and Storm Queen after a slow l beginning. His times in these races were 3.26; 3.27 4-5; and 2.20 1-5. Blondie won nt Wellington in October, his time for 1) miles being 3.31 4-5. The course was dead.

Iraq has two wins and two seconds to his credit. His last success was registered at Addington on January 2, when he went 3.22 1-5 for 12 furlongs. Stella Derby races with some success on the West Coast, recently winning a mile race in 2.18 4-5 and being placed second ou two other occasions, once at a mile and again at 10 furlongs. In the latter race she went 2.56 3-5. Flintlock got on the winning list at Carterton, where he was also second. His limes were: 1) miles, 3.27 1-5; oue mile. 2.17 1-5.

Blue Mountain. Blue Mountain has arrived at Hutt Park under the care of S. M. August to fulfil his engagements at Hutt Park on Saturday. Before leaving the grey was given a strong work-out over a mile and a quarter, going the reverse wajj and although not out for time, he displayed dash in a sprint home. Blue Mountain has freshened up since the Auckland meeting, and ns he appears to do better en left-handed courses he may reproduce his good form of August and November. If he races prominently on Saturday August will take him on to Addington for tlie meeting on January, 19.
