Not Only Alsatians
Sir, —Up comes the Alsatian dog again. Why must they always be so boosted? Why not give other dogs their share of publicity stunting? Here are three instances (names and addresses can be sent if requested): (1) An only child was bitten in the face by one of her father’s sheep-dogs. (2) I myself helped a lad to school for a fortnight—another sheepdog bite —on the leg. (3) My sister has a stiff and scarred hand —a Fox Terrier bite. Each case received medical, attention and scars remain to tell their own tale. . I cannot understand why an Alsatian dog should be fed in the kitchen, especially the evening meal, shortly before 10 o’clock. Why not in his pen or kennel, where he can take his own.time to dispose of it? My sympathy is with the shot Alsation. —I am, etc., BITE AGAIN. Mastertoil, January 9.
