Strenuous Travelling

The band of H.M. Grenadier Guards, which has successfully toured the South Island, is due to arrive in Wellington from Picton on Saturday morning next. The band, which will not play here, will leave at once by train and will give performances at Levin and Dannevirke that same afternoon and evening. On Sunday next concerts will be given at Hastings and Napier; in Wairoa and Gisborne on Monday, at Opotiki, Whak.'itane, and Rotorua on Tuesday next, and at- Auckland on Wednesday and Thuisday of next week —a strenuous conclusion to the New Zealand tour. Tile band is to leave Auckland tor Southampton (via Panama) on January 18 by the Rangitata.
