OBITUARY
Air. R. L. Limbrick
Another link with the early history of Napier has been broken by the death of Mr. Robert Loosenlore Limbrick, which occurred at the Napier Hospital. The late Mr. Limbrick, who was >•' years of age. was born at Redfern, New South Wales, Australia, and was the elder son of Mr. Edward Limbrick, a builder. Coming to Napier with his wife and one child in 1893, tie took up a position as a carpenter with Messrs. Bull Bros., afterwards being in the employ of tlie late Mr. H. J. Holder, builder and contractor. Mr. Limbrick retired after _ some vears and, in conjunction with ins son, Mr. L. A. Limbrick, he established the now well-known cycle business of RLimbrick and Son. After the war, and upon his son’s return, he reared from an active part in the bicycle business and became a taxi proprietor, an occupation he engaged in until shortly before his death. Mr. Limbrick was a member of the Loyal Napier Lodge of Oddfellows, and was also a Freemason. He was predeceased by bis wife some nvo years ago, and is survived by two sons, Messrs L A Limbrick, of Napier, and Roy' Limbrick, of Wellington, and one daughter. Mrs. II- Schierniiig, o Napier. Mr. Edward Limbrick, or Mceanee, Hawke’s Bay. is a brother. Rev. S. E. Hill The death has occurred of the Rev. Svdnev Ellis Hill, who, had been Presbyterian minister at Ellerslie for the past seven and a half years, states a Press Association message from Auckland.' Outstanding features of his ministerial work have been bls activities in social welfare and his work among voting people Mr Hill came to New Zealand 32 vears ago. and occupied in succession tlie charges ’ Woodville. Taradale. Lincoln and lupa•:ui. Mr. Hill is survived by his wife, three sons and one daughter.
