Bread Prices‘at Sydney

RISE COMES INTO FORCE

Sydney, January S.

The fight between the master bakers and the State Government was intensified by the bakers when they put into force their decision to increase the oi-ice of bread by a a loaf.

The Premier, Mr. B. S. Stevens, conferred with the Crown Law authorities and Government officials in preparing a proclamation which is expected to be issued to-day.

The price c> bread in Adelaide yesterday was raised a halfpenny to 4jd. per loaf. The new rates enforced by the Sydney master bakers are; sd. over the counter and 54d. delivered.
