First Swordfish of Season

Tauranga, January 8.
The first swordfish of the season, weighing 3101 b., was caught off Mayor Island, on Saturday, by C. Hayman. T. F. Kerridge, in another launch, also hooked a swordfish, but a make shark also went for the bait and bit the line in two. The parties also landed several mako sharks. Large fish are plentiful. ___________
