Miss Nan Day is a Wellington visitor to Auckland. Miss Isabel Turrell, Christchurch, is in Wellington for a short visit. Mrs. J. F. O’Leary, Seatoun, is visiting Auckland.
Mrs. E. A. Curlett, Hastings, is staying with friends in Wellington. Miss Mary Blennerhassett, Wanganui, is visiting Auckland and Kawau. Mrs. M. L. Coghill, Wanganui, is visitng Mrs. Beetham, Masterton. Mr. and Mrs. E. J. Chennells. Christchurch, are at present in Wellington. Mrs. W. H. Day, Greytown, is visiting relatives in the Auckland district. Mrs. R. J. Pope and Miss Eileen Pope, (Northland, are visiting Auckland.
Miss Barbara Standish, Goldies Brae, is the guest of Lady SinclairLockhart, Auckland. Mr. and Mrs. N. Webley have returned to Dannevirke from a visit to New Plymouth. Miss Valerie Denniston, Lower Hutt, is spending a few days with Miss Torino Hogg, Kawatere. Mrs. Owen Jones and family, Mastertdn, are spending a holiday at Pukerua Bay. Mr. and Mrs. H. V. Hudson, Levin, are staying with Mr. and Mrs. W. Mathieson, Otawhao, Norsewood. Mrs. J. Lucas and Miss P. Palmer, Wellington, are staying with. Mr. and Mrs. H. E. Rogers, Eketahuna. Mrs. S. A. Pettengell, Waipukurau, is visiting her mother, Mrs. W. Daniell, Parkvale.
Mr. and Mrs. H. J. Burke, who have been visiting Mr. and Mi’s. 0. Allomes, Wanganui, have returned to Australia, Mr. and Mrs. A- Elliot and Miss Nora Elliot are Wanganui visitors to New Plymouth. Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Paqualin left Wanganui on Tuesday to take up residence at Palmerston North.
Mrs. Maurice Fell, St. George’s School, Wanganui, is visiting Pahia and Kawau. • Mr. and Mrs. J. K. Hornblow have returned to Foxton from a holiday spent at Picton. Miss'Fisher, Hunterville, is at present on a visit to Foxton, and is the guest of Mrs. J, Hannah, Mrs. Sim and the Misses Mabel and Marie Sim are Christchurch visitors to Wellington. Dr. and Mrs. Mcllraith, Wellington, are the guests of Mrs. C. Bevins, Whangarei. Mrs. M. E. R. Tripe, Molesworth street, is visiting Christchurch and Dunedin.
Mr. and Mrs. R. Caughley and family, Mariri Road, have returned home after spending the holidays at Titahi Bay.
Miss Halmai. Loughnan, Christchurch, has been staying for a few days with her sister, Mrs. John Ellis, Karori.
Mr. and Mrs. W. Robinson, Pahiatua, have returned from a holiday spent at Lake Taupo. Tauranga, and New Plymouth. Miss Elaine Hamil, who has been visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Hamil. Taihape, has returned to Sydney. Mrs. D. Sullivan, Christchurch, has joined her husband, Mr, D. G. Sullivan, M.P., at his camp on the banks of the Tauherenikau River. Visitors to Foxton this week were Mr. and Mrs. C. Smith and family, Rangiora, who are on a tour of the North Island.
Among recent 'Wellington callers at New Zealand House were Miss J. McKay, Mr. T. S. Williamson, Mr. D. W. A. Barker, and Hr. H. G. Heine. The Misses Maida and Elinor Black, Khandallah, returned by the Maunganui on Monday from a brief visit to Raratohga.
Mr. and Mrs. E. Everiss, New Plymouth, are visiting Dannevirke, where they are staying with Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Breach.
Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Seaton and their family, Taumarunui, have been spending the holidays with Mrs. F. M. Seaton, Wadestown, and returned home yesterday.
Mrs. Gerald Rosenbaum returned to Wellington by the Monowai yesterday after a visit to relatives in Australia. She was accompanied by her infant son, Gerald.
Mr. and Mrs. Oacbmaille, Upland Road, with Mr. Eric Cachmaille and Miss Sturtevant, will leave this morning for a fortnight’s motor tour in the Hawke’s Bay district.
Mr. and Mrs. A. A. Davies and family, Lower Hutt, are spending a holiday at Waikanae Beach. Miss Joan Millington is their guest at present.
Mr. T. E. Williams, of King’s School, Chester, and Mrs. Williams (nee Iva McEldowney, the well-known Wellington artist) had exhibits at the autumn show at the Walton Gallery, Liverpool. Mrs. Williams sold one of her pictures on the first day.
Dr. Winsome, who has been staying in Christchurch with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. T. S. Young, will return to Wellington to-day. She will leave in March on a trip to England and the Continent, where she will further her studies.
Mr. and Mrs. W. R. C. Oswin, Talavera Terrace, have returned from a visit to Rotorua. They have received a cable from their daughter, Therle, who is studying music at the Royal Academy, London, to say that she intended spending a fortnight of her vacation at Lenik, in the Swiss Alps, where she would take part in the winter sports with a party of friends.
