Waipukurau Sale Waipukurau, January 8. At the first sale held for three weeks at Waipukurau to-day. there were fairly large yardings. Good lambs sold well. Passings were few, except in the fat cattle section, which was rather numerous. Four good heavy Hereford bullocks sold at £6/13/6; two Hereford heifers, £3/11/-; four Hereford cows, £2/12/6; one prime P.A. cow, £3/12/6; polled Hereford cow, £3/13/§; nine good Hereford cows and heifers, £3/14/-; 31 wellbrpd store Hereford steers, £3/13/-; one P.A. steer, £3/14/-; 42 good 18-months P.A. steers, £3/4/-. Sheep: Thirteen prime heavy wethers, 24/-; 11 prime wether lambs, 21/4; 55 others, 19/8; 33 prime ewes, 15/-; 147 good heavy store lambs, 16/6; 192 rape lambs, 15/4; 194 woolly wether lambs, 15/4; 111 s.m. medium ewes, 11/8; 69 others. 10/5; 85 good four-tooths, 16/5. Sale at Shannon The stock sale held at Shannon yesterday resulted in the following prices for a good yarding: Heifers, r.w.b., 55/- J o £3; bulls, 10/- to 15/6; fat cows, £2 to £2/10/-; store cows, 17/- to 19/6; steers, light, £5 to £5/10/-; weaner pigs, 10/to 11/6; store pigs, 16/- to 17/9. There was small demand for ewes, while lambs ranged from 10/- to 15/6. Pahiatua Sale Dominion Special Service. Masterton, January 8. Dalgety and Co.. Ltd., offered a fair entry of lambs at Pahiatua to-day. Keen competition was in evidence at the following prices; Woolly wether lambs, 8/9 to 15/-; shorn wether lambs, small, 11/1; good line passed at 14/-; woolly b.f. lambs, 11/6 to 16/-; shorn b.f. lambs, 10/8 to 14/6.
