Mr. R. H. McKenzie Elected Chairman SUCCESSOR TO MR. FULTON By Telegraph.—Press Association. Hamilton, January 8. At a meeting of the directors .of the New Zealand Dairy Company, Ltd., at Hamilton, this morning, Mr. R. H. McKenzie, of Mangatawhiri Valley, I’okeno, was elected chairman in succession to the late Mr. Dynes Fulton. Mr. McKenzie lias been deputy-chairman of tlie company for the past 16 years. Mr. F. E. Hughes was elected deputychairman. Mr. McKenzie is a well-known farmer in the northern ‘portion of the territory over which the company operates. Born in Auckland in 1569, Mr. McKenzie is a son of tlie late Captain D. 11. McKenzie, a well-known Auckland ship owner and master mariner 33 years ago. He came to South Auckland and took up a farm in tlie Mangatawhiri Valley, which he still occupies. He was elected to the Board of Directors of the former New Zealand Dairy Association in 1914. Five years later, when the association merged with the Waikato Co-operative Dairy Company to form a New Zealand Cooperative Dairy Company, Mr. McKenzie was apointed to a seat on the directorate as the representative for the northern ward, which he has held continuously for 16 years. Mr. McKenzie is a director of the Auckland Farmefs’ Freezing Company. In his earlier years Mr. McKenzie was a keen footballer. He played the game in Taranaki and Auckland, and was chosen as a representative in provincial teams in both districts. He also gained selection in the Ail Black team which successfully toured Australia-in 1893.
