MINERS ON STRIKE

A Kalgoorlie message states that 6000 miners are now on strike from all mines on the Golden Mile at Boulder.
'The dispute is due to a refusal by the men to agree (o the SS-hour fortnight, consisting of -10 hours spread over live days and 48 hours in the following week which is provided under the new award.
The men arc demanding a continuation of the former 44-liour week.
