N.Z. Athletic, Cycling and Axemen’s Union By Telegraph—Press' Association. Invercargill, January 5. The annual conference of the New Zealand Athletic, Cycling and Axemen’s Union opened to-day, when the Mayor (Mr. Miller) welcomed delegates from all parts of the Dominion. The conference adjourned until this afternoon as a mark of respect to the late secretary (Mr. John Kennedy), to whom high tributes were paid.
