WOMEN’S CRICKET
> Representative Practice Match The Wellington Ladies’ Cricket Association held a practice match on Emerson Street Park ou Saturday, to assist in the selection of the representative team. The B team batted first, but could only total 19 runs against the bowling of A. Ell, four for 3; I. Pickering, four for 2; N. Sheridan, one for 3; and D. Hatcher, one for 0. Mrs. Fuller, scored 11, was the only player to reach double figures. The A team responded with 103 (Jean Mack 28, 11. Buck 25, I. Pickering 11). Bowling for the B team, P. Brogan took six for 29, and N. Smith two for 21. The B team did better in the second innings, totalling 65 (M. Smith 15, P. Brogan 10, L Harris 10). Bowling for the A team. J. Mack took three for 9; J. Holmes, two for 7; T. Pickering, one for S; and A. Ell, one for 29. fl'he A team won by an innings and 1J runs.
