Mr. Will Appleton left by last evening’s express steamer o»i a visit to Christchurch. Timaru and Dunedin. Sir William Hunt arrived in Wellington yesterday morning by the steamer express from the south. j Mr. Donald fl. Kennedy, of Fituafuti, left yesterday by the Limited for Auckland.
Mr. E. .1. Cheiinells, headmaster of Medbury .School, and .Mrs. Chennells > arrived from Christchurch yesterday. Mr. W. B. Glasgow, of Waitara, has returned from the south and was in ■Wellington yesterday. Mr. Daniel Fuhrmann, of Antwerp, is, staying in Wellington. He is paying a business visit to the Dominion. Dr. I’. A. Ardagh, of Christchurch, accompanied by Mrs. Ardagh, returned to the south by the steamer express last night.
