Discovered by Constable Honeybone to be tampering with a telephone cabinet at the corner of Cuba Street and Jackson Street, Petone, a motor-mechanic, Frank Ernest Parker, aged 20, was arrested at one o’clock yesterday, morning, and subsequently charged before Mr. A. Anderson, J.P., In the Petone Court, with committing mischief. On ’ the application of Senior-Sergeant Slvyer, accused was remanded to appear at Wellington on Monday. It was stated that several further charges of breaking telephone cabinets-in Wellington would be preferred against him.
