Less Unemployment FOREIGN TRADE PROBLEM Berlin, January 2. The newspapers reviewing the history of Germany in 1934 point out that unemployment has decreased 37 per cent, and production increased 20 per cent. The gloomy foreign trade situation is Germany’s darkest cloud in 1935. LITTLE BELOW 1933 Germany’s Wool Purchases (Received January 4, 1 a.m.) London, January 3. The Imperial Economic Committee’s wool intelligence department says' that, despite the restrictions Imposed on Germany’s raw wool purchases, her imports for the first 11 months of 1934 were only live per cent, below those for the same period of 1933.
