SAILING BOAT CAPSIZES

Occupants’ Narrow Escape By Telegraph.—Press Association. Gisborne, January 3. Thrown into the waler from a homebuilt sailing boat which capsized three miles off Young Nick’s Head, four young men had a narrow escape from being carried out to sea by a strong westerly breeze. Being strong swimmers, they succeeded after a great struggle in righting the craft, and with a paddle in place of a lost rudder they made a landing through the surf near Muriwai.
