Boy’s Hand Amputated

Mastertoil, January 3.
Michael Alpe, a 14-year-old Martinborough High School boy, had his left hand amputated at the Greytown Hospital to-day, as a result of an accident at his father’s farm at Tawaha this morning. The boy was assisting his father in the milking shed, when his hand was caught in the belt of the milking machine and very badly injured..
