End of Session i (From "The Dominion," December .10, 1909.) There was an all-night sitting of the House of Representatives in regard to the replacement of the vote of £4OO for the financial adviser at Home. The supplementary estimates bad been held up by the amendment moved by the Loader of the Opposition, Mr. Massey, to reduce the vote by £1 as an indication that the offie'e of financial adviser in London should not be continued. Upon a division the amendment was negatived by 38 votes to 27. The debate came to an end soon after the House resumed yesterday afternoon. But little diiscussion took place on the remaining items of the supplementary estimates, which were all disposed of by 6 o’clock in the evening. The Appropriation Bill was pn.werl without much discussion and the session brought to a conclusion. * » » The French Chamber of Deputies, by 350 votes to 33, passed a Bill authorising the Paris Municipal Council to raise a loan of £36.000,000 for the purpose of embellishing the city and "improving the sanitation.
