ACCIDENT WITH GUN
Woman’s Fatal Injuries By Telegraph.—Press Association. Taumarunui, December 29. The death occurred in hospital this morning of'Miss Ethel McCann, aged 29, as a result of a shooting accident at Taringaniotu yesterday. Her brother, Mr. Owen McCann, was loading a gun outside the house preparatory to going shooting. Suddenly the gun exploded, the charge passing through an open kitchen door, then through the wall into the dining-room, where some pellets struck Miss McCann in the face. She fell unconscious and was taken to hospital.
