Dairy Produce Markets Firm BUTTER RISES TO 75/A cheerful close to the dairy produce markets for 1934 and a welcome message for the New Year is the strong advance in the price of butter, which has risen by 5/- per cwt. during the last week. On Thursday New Zealand "finest was soiling in London at 75/- a cwt., winch com pares with the record low level of 60/ to 61/- about the end of October and 66/ to 69/- 12 months ago. One cable report state* that the markets are advancing and prices are likely to be maintained. Cabled advice received by Mr. G. r A Mills from A. J. Mills and Co., Ltd., London, gives the following market prices as ruling at the clu«s*e of business on Inursdayßutter: The market fe firm. New Zealand, finest, 75/-; firsts, 74/-. Australian, choicest, 74/-; first grade, to/-. Danish, spot, 120/-; f.j.b., 100/-. Cheese: The market ie firm. New Zealand white and coloured. 40/-. , Canadian white and coloured. 52/- to 53/-. . Mr. Thomas Gray, Wellington, has received the following cable from Mr. A. C. Roweon, dated London, December 27; —Cheese: New Zealand, white, 4b/per cwt.; coloured, 46/- per cwt. Butter: New Zealand, finest grade, 7a/-. Markets advancing: think prices likely to be maintained. Samuel Page and Son, London, report to Dalgety and Co., Ltd., under date December 27: —Butter market firm. Danish, f.0.b., 100/- (402/- to 104/-). New Zealand finest salted, 75- - - (60/- to 69/6). Australian, finest unsalted, 74/- to 76/(70/-); finest salted, 74/- (69/-). Australian G.A.Q., 71/- to 72/- (67/-). Cheese market firm. New Zealand white, 45/- to 46/- (43/-); New Zealand coloured, 45/- to 46/- (42/6 to 43/-). Spot price for Canadian white. 54/- to 56/(52/- to 56/-).
