The Postmaster-General (Hou W. Nosworthy) left yesterday for Cambridge to attend the opening of the Waikato Central Agricultural Association’s Show. The Minister of Lands (Hon. A. D. McLeod) left last night for the South. After forty years’ service with the Railway Department, Mr. A. T. Seward* clerk in the Thorndon goods-shed, retired on superannuation yesterday. W Hutcheson (who has taken up his residence at Hastings) has been declared elected Admiral of Fleet Earl Jellicoe (states a British Official Wireless message) lias notified the Prince of Wales of his acceptance of an invitation that he should till the position of president of the British Legion tn succession to the late Field-Marshal Earl Haig. The death occurred .11 Auckland on Tuesday night, states a special service messenger, of Mr. John Pagin', Italian Vice-Consul. He was 63 years of age.
