TEAM FROM AUSTRALIA ARRIVES Dominion Special Service. Auckland, February 28. A team of 23 bowlers representing the South Australian Bowling Association arrived at Auckland by the Alarama from Sydney. The team has come at tho invitation of the New Zealand Bowling Association and will play friendly matches in all parts of the Dominion. Tho manager of the team is Mr. E. Castine, Alessrs. R. Bower and R. C. Barton being assistant managers. Other members of the side are: Messrs. D. P. Allen, T. G. Alexander, F. D. Brook, J. B. Cherry, J. C. Catt, F. C. Culley, C. A. Dunn, S. J. Davies, A. J. Davis, C. D. Harris, W. F. Harrison, W. Hagger, H. Naylor, A. McWaters, P. C. Potter, H. J. Penno, J. Remphrey, J. Sellar, AV. B. Temple and L. Von Doussa. Accompanying the party are Airs. Brook, Mrs. Bower, Mrs. Burton, Airs. Castine, Airs. Dunu, Aliss Davis, Airs. Harris, Mrs. Naylor, Airs. Penno, Mrs. Sellar, and Aliss Von Doussa. The tour will last a month, and the centres to be visited will include (apart from Auckland), Rotorua, Wanganui, Napier, Nelson Westport, Greymouth, Christchurch, Dunedin, aud Oamaru. On their arrival the visitors were met by officials of the Auckland Bowling Centre. Later iu the morning they were welcomed at a civic reception, which was attended by a large number of local bowlers. CHAMPION PAIRS. The centre’s pairs championship will be contested on the Thorudon Club’s green to-day, commencing at 9 a.m. One novel feature as to the pairs representatives iu the champion o£ champions games to-day, will be the appearance of a lather and his two sons skipping for different clubs. D. Aluuro will skip for Island Bay; G. Munro for Thorudon; and A., G. Munro for Eastbourne. At the annual conference of the New Zealand Earthenware Manufacturers’ Association, held in Auckland recently, it was decided to hold next year’s conference in Wanganui. Mr. G. Meuli, of Wanganui, was elected president for tho ensuing year.
