JUNIOR REFORM LEAGUE

CONSTITUTION ADOPTED “ LOYALTY TO PARTY AFFIRMED The first general meeting of the Junior Reform and Constitutional League was held last' night, when a constitution was adopted and officebearers were elected. A resolution affirming unswerving loyalty to the Reform Party and the New Zealand Political Reform League was carried. Officers for the ensuing year were elected as follow President, ■ the Prime Minister (Rt. Hon; J. G. Coates); vice-presidents, Mrs. Earle, Mrs. Robinson, the Hons. A. D. McLeod and R. A Wright, Sir John Luke, M.P., ~T. Forsvth, M.P., D. Jones, M.P., D. Sloane, J. J. Clark, D. S. AlcGhie, and E. A. James; chairman, Mr. R. H. Bovs; secretary, Air. N. J. Lewis; treasurer, Air. I. Reid; executive, Alisses Sharpe, Ronaldson, Symonds, Reece, and Jackson, Alessrs. Shorland, K. and J. Leicester, Hancock, Fortune, Sykes, Graham, Hope, Guthrie. Final arrangements were made for the picnic to be held on Saturday at Sir Francis Bell’s property at Lowry Bay. . The meeting passed the following resolutions: — “That this general meeting of members of all brandies of the Junior Reform and Constitutional League m Wellington desires to express to the Prime ‘Minister, the. members of his Cabinet and partv in Parliament, its gratitude for the great assistance and encouragement given by’ them in the formation and extension of branches of the League, and to assure them that the undivided efforts of members are directed to turning to the greatest advantage the measure of success that has attended the operations of the League. “That this general meeting of members of all branches of the Junior Reform and Constitutional League in Wellington, supporting wholeheartedly the practical progressive policy of the Government in all departments of Imperial and domestic concern, and confident that the administration which has enabled the Dominion to weather the severe economic depression of the past vear can, and will, continue to legislate for the utmost, welfare and. prosperity of New Zealand, hereby sets on record its unswerving loyalty to the Reform Partv in Parliament, and its allegiance to' the New Zealand Political Reform League.” .
