THE BITER BITTEN

y QUESTION FOR SENATOR BORAH (Rec. February 28, 7.50 p.m.) Washington, February 27. ' Senator Borah, who has been persistently questioning aspirants for the Republican Presidential nomination, and has forwarded his prohibition questionnaire to Mr. Lowden, has now in turn himself been questioned by a citizen of Ohio. The latter demanded to know whether Senator Borah favours “super government” by dry groups. < Senator Borah replied that he was opposed to super government by the Anti-Saloon League, the Methodists’ Board of Temperance and Morals, the Ku Klux Klan, or by any church or any individual who is a “stalking horse” for any group which intends to create super government. The persistency of Senator Borah is hardly likely to’ drive the prohibition issue out into the open politically, but his efforts are considered interesting.
