KING OF AFGHANISTAN
ATTENDS GERMAN ARMY MANOEUVRES (Rec. February 27, 7.55 p.m.) Berlin, February 26. The King of Afghanistan, accompanied by President von Hindenburg, witnessed the Reichswehr manoeuvres. The ban on tanks and military aeroplanes imposed by the Treaty of Versailles necessitated the use of dummy tanks, cavalry scouts replacing aircraft.
