With mingled feelings of gratitude and astonishment, followin', the recovery of a piece of valuable jewellery in a remarkable manner, a New Plymouth lady has been impressed by the powers of a clairvoyant (says the “Herald”) Recently accompanied by her daughter and her sister, she went on holiday, taking with her a very valuable diamond brooch Before the return she remembered packing the brooch away but upon arrival back in New Plymouth she could not find it amonrst her effects. At the time, believing that it would turn up she considered if prudent not fo mention the loss out side of her own family, and a few days later consulted a clairvoyant, who could not possibly have obtained previous knowledge of the case, but who traced her movements with a great degree of accuracy and suggested that the brood', might be found amongst her relative’s things. The lady then "tnnmiinicnteil with her sister, and upon investigation the brooch was fount! caught up in a shawl which had been put away without its presence being observed The lad.v went back to ex press her great jov to the clairvoyant, who, before she could supply the details. interrupted her and gave a very accurate version of how and where the jewellery was discovered.
