UPPER HUTT ORPHANS
OUTING AT MURITAT. A coinmitee convened by Mr. C. O’Donnell arranged an outing for the children of the Catholic Orphanage at Upper Hutt on Saturday. Sixty-seven car-own-ers motored to Upper Hutt in the morning, picked the children up, and took Ineni round to Muritai, where the youngsters spent an enjoyable afternoon on the beach. A party of ladies al Muritai arranged for the afternoon tea, while assistance was given by Mrs. Macarthv “Cid and Mrs. Mcßvedy. Mr. J. p. Gayner, of Petone. conveyed the provisions round free of charge, and much cenerous assistance was given by friends in the citv. father Gilbert received the party at Murilni, and Archbishops Bedwood and O’Shea, with a number of Hie city clergy, visited the party during the afternoon.
