DARWEN CHURCH TROUBLE
“THE ONLY SOLUTION” By Telegraph - press Association Copyright. London. February 24. A thousand parishioners of St.' Cuthbert’s met at Darwen and applauded Mr. Moore (vice-chairman of the Parochial Council) when he said that they had shown that they and the Bishop's intended to cleanse the Church of doctrines introduced against the people’s will. The only solution was the vicar, Mr. Lauria’s removal. The Bishop of Blackburn, who was appointing his successor, had been given to understand precisely the only sort of man with whom they would be satisfied.—A.P.A. and “Sun.”
