MOTOR-CYCLISTS INJURED

A motor-cyclist, IV. A. Mauchlin, residing at 119 Richmond Street, Petoue, a single man, aged 30 years, was brought in to the hospital at 11.10 o’clock last night, suffering from a compound fracture of the left leg as a result of a fall. It appears that Mauchlin was riding along Cambridge Terrace towards Courtenay Place, when a motor-car came out of Vivian Street in front of him. In endeavouring to avoid a collision, Maueblin’s motor-cycle skidded, and he fell heavily, with his machine on lop of him. lie was taken to the hosnital by (he Free Ambulance.

R. Simpson, who lias been working on tlie dredge Paratutu at present being repaired at tlie Patent Slip, received a dislocated right . shoulder through his motor-cycle skidding at Hie corner of Jervois Quay and Cable Street. After he bad received treatment from the Free Ambulance lie was taken back to the dredge.
