Workmen are nt present busily engaged on the reconstruction and redecoration of tlie New Adelphi Cabaret, which will bo reopened on Thursday. March 1. with .1 grand reopening ball. On this night Dave Meredeth and tils imported band will make llieir first appearance. No expense lias been spared in making the cabaret, what tho inanairement believe to be, tlie finest of its kind in Australia and New Zealand. Tlie lavish furnishings ami the new indirect lighting system witl all add to tho beauty of the ptace. wtiile tho specially constructed winter garden should prove a popular addition. The management announce that nnly a limited number ot reservations will bo taken for the opening night. The first week of the reopening will bo devoted to gala nights. The exclusive afternoon tea session will commeuee on Monday, March 5.
