At Daytona Beach, Florida, Lockhart was injured when his car upset during a speed trial. He ran into the sea at a speed above 200 miles an hour, and the car was complete!}’ wrecked. Lockhart’s injuries are not yet fully ascertained, but they are not believed to be dangerous. Captain Malcolm Campbell will attempt to-morrow to break his own record.
