The New Zealand railway officials are never stuck for a solution to any difficulty which assails them (states an exchange). Recently a mixed train laden with sheep, fruit, and passengers was proceeding rather laboriously from Lawrence to Milton. when at hist it came lo a full stop on the Round Hill. The engine, apparently, had done its best and had failed. However, trains generally get somewhere, and in this particular case the objective was attained after the passengers had boon requested to get out and walk up the hill which had proved such an obstacle.
