SWIMMING SPORTS
WELLINGTON EAST GIRLS’ COLLEGE Yesterday morning the annual swimining sports of the Wellington East Girls' College were held at the Te Aro baths in bright sunshine. . There were numerous entries in all events, great keenness being shown by competitors, many of whom registered very good performances.. Particularly hiHi was the standard set in the neat diving. Three novelty events helped to vary the programme—a crocodile, egg and spoon, and balloon race. In the latter the swimmers had each to blow a balloon in front of them all the way. H.
