MOTORISTS THREATENED Bv Telegraph.—Press Association. Christchurch, February 20. But for the intervention of the police, two occupants of .a motor-car might have received serious injury at the hands of the crowd at Brighton gala on Saturday evening. Airs. Donald Robb was walking along the street accompanied by two young daughters, Monica and Lorna, amt wheeling her baby in a push-chair. When at the corner of Seaview Road and George Street a motor-car ran into the partv, knocking the push-chair and Lorna over, and passing right over Monica. The bystanders evidently tiein" of the opinion that the occupants of the car bad not taken due care assumed a most hostile attitude and were endeavouring to drag (he driver amt his companion from the scats when the police intervened. The condition of tho girl Monica is fairly serious.
