Auckland, ebruary 15. After Air. AV. J. Jordan, M.P., and other speakers had addressed a meeting of members of the Freezing Workers’ Union last uiglit to discuss the Wesfield dispute, it is understood that a vote was taken to test the feeling of tho meeting towards an extension of the trouble. Over three hundred members voted, and the result was a three to one decision against declaring a general strike by members of the freezing Workers’ Union. CONFERENCE PROVES ABORTIVE. Auckland, February 1. A conference between the parties took place this morning, but proved abortive.
