TAKARO CUP. Palmerston North, February 15. A rink from Palmerston Club visited the Takaro Club this afternoon to play for the Takaro Cup. The visitors, who were Griggs, Rowling, Patton, Tasker (s.), were successful in winning the cup by 28 points to 18 by beating Cooksley, Childs, Littlejohn, and Morgan (s.). AINSLIE SHIELD. On their home green Palmerston successfully withstood a challenge from the Manawatu Club for the Ainslie Shield. Both matches resulted in favour of the home rinks, Boon, Hansel, Goldfinch, and Matheson (s.) beating King, Wildbore, Holdaway, ' Gerand 22—19. P. Morris, Tozer, Baylis, and Crump (s.) beat D. Morris, Lloyd, Holland, Kershaw, 28—12, the game terminating at the twentieth head.
