STAFF PICNIC

« E. W. MILLS AND CO., LTD. The annual staff picnic of Messrs. E. W. Mills and Co., Ltd., was held last Saturday at Maori Bank, Upper Hutt. Fino weather favoured the outing. Among those who attended were the general manager,, Mr. Wagg, and Mrs. Wagg. The afternoon was devoted to getting off a sports programme. The results were as follow—Boys’ Race, under 3 years: T. Boys, under 10: Jack Smith, 1; Dick Newman, 2. Girls, under 15: Jessie Mclnnes, I; A. Kenny, 2. Boys, under 15: Allan McNair. 1: Ken Allen, 2. Boys’ Stilt Race: A. McNair, 1; Harold Wickett. 2. Junior Staff Race: W. Cato, 1; S. Sawtell, 2. Junior Championship: S. Sawtell, 1; J. Laming, 2. Sack Race, Ladies: Jessie Mclnnes. Sack Race, Men’s; G. Brown. Senior Championship: — McGrath, 1; R.
