FIRMS THREATEN TO CLOSE WORKS (Rec. February 14, 8.25 p.m.) r Berlin, February 13. Unless 50,000 metal workers now on strike for higher wages in Central Germany resume work before February 22, all the big firms, including Kiupp, Siemens, and the General Electric, will close their works, idling 800,000 hands. —A.P A. and “Sun.”
