A NEEDED ROAD

CONNECTING LINK AT WADESTOWN. The work of connecting Margaret Street with Lytton and Rose Streets, Wadestown, commenced last winter with money from the Unemployed Fund, was not quite completed when the money ran out, since which time nothing has been done toward finishing the job. There is a fair amount of land available for settlement on the western slopes of Wadestown, and the road above mentioned will not only open up this land but will bring the parts of the district closer together by providing a new main road, and will make a desirable means of access to the hundred odd acres of land belonging to the City Council on' the slopes with a westerly aspect below the wireless sta tion.

It is understood that the Wadestown and Highland Park Progressive Association intends to wait on the council at its next meeting, with a request that this work be completed.
