EXPORT OF APPLES
GOVERNMENT GUARANTEE EXTENDED. By Telegraph, press association Nelson, February 13. The Minister of Agriculture (Hon. O. J. Hawken), who is visiting the fruit lands, was waited on by a deputation in regard to f.o.b. sales <jf export apples, which were favoured by the deputation. The Minister declined to express his personal opinion on the question, but said he would nor interfere with the Fruit Coritrol Board. The Minister promised that the Government guarantee would be extended to “good grade” apples exported, but the amount of the guarantee was not stated.
