WALLACE ACQUITTED
RESULT OF THIRD TRIAL The retrial of Alfred George Wallace, auctioneer and, produce merchant, on charges of committing breaches of the Bankruptcy Act took place before the Chief J ustice (Sir Charles Skerrett) •in the Supreme Court yesterday. After 45 minutes’ retirement the jury returned a verdict of not guilty, and Wallace was discharged. Mr. P. S. K. Macassey appeared for the Crown, and Wallace was represented by Mr. M. Myers, K.C., and Mr. A. J. Luke.
