HOLMES DISQUALIFIED. By Telegraph — press association. Christchurch, February 10. The appeal of Free Holmes, who was suspended for three months for crossing in the Stewards’ Handicap at Forbury Park meeting, came before the Trotting Association. Tho report of the Forbury Club Committee stated that it had ruled and still hold that no appeal lay, as the question was one of fact. This contention was upheld by the association, and the action of tiic club was endorsed. Holmes applied. for permission to attend race meetings during his term of disqualification, but this permission was refused. The following horses in which Holmes has interest were automatically disqualified: Key de Oro, Eugene de Oro, Bonny Logan, Admiral Pointer, El Carbine, Trix Pointer, Estclla, Amos Queen 11. Bonilene, and Bonista.
