FREE AMBULANCE FUND

FIREMEN’S EALLY ON MARCH 3. A combined meeting of fire brigadesmen, fire police, and auxiliary firemen was held at the Central Fire Station last evening to consider means of raising funds for the Free Ambulance. Fully eighty members were present, Mr. F. AV. Rolf, superintendent and secretary oi the Ambulance, presiding in the absence of the superintendent of the Fire Brigade (Mr. J. Creeke). The object of the meeting was to make arrangements for an open-air joy night to be conducted by the combined firemen in the Constable Street fire station in March. Those present entered enthusiastically into the project, and ah arrangements were completed. It was also decided to hold a children’s afternoon, to be conducted by file tire police and auxiliary firemen. This will be the first effort conducted for the Free Ambulance fund.
