Ltd., and Wright, Stephenson and Co., Ltdreport on the Johnsonville sale held on Tuesday, as follows:— A medium yarding of good quality sheep and lambs came forward. There was a very small attendance of butchers, and as a consequence a dull sale resulted, a fair proportion of the yarding being passed. The cattle offered comprised mostly good quality bullocks, but a slack sale resulted. Prices depreciated owing to weather conditions, and only good quality sheep showed any lotnnetition. We quote as follows: 189 wether lambs, shorn, 145.; IN do.. Ils. 7d.; 90 go., 9s. Id.; 90 do., 9s. 4d.; 83 do., 125.; 144 b.f. and shorn lambs. 20s. 6d.; cull lambs at late rates; ewes were very dull of sale, and hard to quit. The Wairarapa Farmers’ Co-operative Association, Ltd., report as follows on yesterday's Masterton sale; —We offered a medium entry of sheep and a few pens of cattle. Ltd., report on their Masterton sale yesterday as follows:—We had a fair entry of sheep and cattle, which were offered to the usual attendance of buyers. Competition was on about a par with previous sales, and we report prices as follow: —Extra good two-tooth ewes, £1 10s. Gd.: fat ewes, 15s. 3d.; good b.f. lambs, 21s. 2d.; cull ewes, 55.; dairy, cows in milk. £G to £8 2s. Gd.; store cows, £3 7s. Gd.; slips, 10s. to 12s. Gd. The Wairarapa Fanners’ Co-op Association. Ltd., report as follows on Tuesdav’s Pahiatua sale:—We offered a good yawllng of about 1250 sheep and a few pens of cattle. The bulk of the sheep entry comprised white-face woolly and shorn lambs, which sold much better than was anticipated, due to the competition of one or two West Coast buyers.
