VICTORIA COLLEGE
MEETING OF COUNCIL. Mr. P. Levi presided at a meeting of the Victoria Universitv College Council last night. Approval was given to (he appointment of local tutors to conduct Workers’ Educational Association classes, and study circles, in the different centres of the university college district; and to the reappointment of Messrs. D. J. Donald as assistant to the Professor of Philosophy, and of Mr. G. J. McNaiight. ALA., as assistant to the Professor of English. The Lissio Rathbone Scholarship lias been awarded to Miss Peggy Metson, of Napier, who gained 533 marks. Accounts passed for payment amounted to about X 2115, leaving a balance in hand of <£4BoB.
